he hasent lost his mind. What do u expect from a guy who has won three or four fights in a row and is taking on a tough opponent. As if hes gonna say oh i dont think i can beat him, he HAS to be confident to win. All fighters must have confidence or else they would not be fighters. I would not be surprised at all if he catches cro cop in a submission. for sure i think cro cop will win, but gonzaga does have the style to beat him.

All I know is I will laugh my ass off if CC loses this fight.

Makes sense to me. I certainly don’t want to fight CroCop, but the guys on this level better not be shaking in their boots at their mere sight of him. Gonzaga thinks he’s going to win and he damn well better think that, or else what’s the point of taking the fight and training? I expect professional fighters to act like professionals, and that includes walking into a fight with the mentality that they’re there to win. Personally, I wouldn’t waste my time watching cripples get thrown to the lions. I want to see some competition.

I don’t see any disrespect, he says he is going to win by submission or KO. I’d have to agree with ufcgracie, WTF would you go into a fight thinking you’re going to lose? Of course what he says may not be what he really feels.

On a side note, Cro Cop fights at his natural weight, Chuck doesn’t, you know he cuts atleast 15 lbs to get to 205.

Thats funny as hell and probably true. It’s one thing to be confident its another to be cocky as hell, specially when your fighting some one with that kind of power and ability. MAybe he’s been hangin with bobble head Tito. I have a feeling he will eat those words.

I think Cro Cop should and will win this fight. But, what happens if it goes to the ground, not many cro cop fights i’ve seen have gone there. Gonzaga is a BJJ champion. I still think he’ll get beat badly but he’s definetly a lot more dangerous than people give him credit for.

I think the correct quote would have been “Gonzaga drips delusions” but to fight at that level a guy needs to think he is undefeatable.

Mirko has always had a weakness. It has always been himself. He often didnt think his opponents deserved to be in the ring with him. It had to be Fedor, Nog, or Barnett for him to have respect. Look at his face after Dos Caras Jr or Sapp. He drips disrespect for them. It all changed when he lost to Randleman, a fight Mirko admitted to not training for very hard. But he has grown and matured as he has gotten older.
This Gonzaga guy better learn from history, or it is doomed to be repeated. He better shut his mouth and maybe Mirko will forgive him. If not, Dos Caras Jr II is in the works.

Gonzaga better bring his A game on fight night. He hasn’t exactly fought with the cream of the crop thus far…he’s been playing triple A ball whilst Mirko’s been slugging it out with the big boys. Sanchez was also like 8-0 before his fight with Cro Cop and needless to say, he ended up mincemeat. Prediction: Another one bites the dust, another 1st round KO for our Croatian Sensation.
