And Braylon Edwards plays in the NFL he got it and he was out for 4 weeks. Its a case by case thing, everyones body reacts differently. The problem isnt the infection itself, but more so the flu-like symptoms and lethargic feeling you get. Its easier to tough it out in football when you have 10 other guys backing you up. However, when your fighting in a one on one combat sport you better make damn sure your on top of your game. If anything the infection hampers his training for 2-3 weeks which means he wont be ready to fight. You can miss 2-3 weeks and walk on a football field and run a post or play a cover 2 and tough it out. You cant walk into the octagon and turn on the switch, it takes months of training for each specific opponent.

Naw its all messed up. Does look like a bad case of stapf as well and easily understand his wanting to wait. The octagon will wait and forget however if you come in and loss your record never forgets. Good call Forrest.
The smartest guys are the guys who choose there fights, if someone calls you up 2 week pre to a fight thats bullshit!! Unless you can fight at your top performance you aint gonna let some guy have an unfair advantage over you, even if people call you a pussy losing in the UFC aint no joke.
Forrest is always gonna be in the UFC hes too good and has too much skill to be wasted in some K.O.T.C. bullshit.
At least its not a serious injury, that puts you on the back burner of sponers sometimes. Griffins way too good to lose even with handicaps, I’ll even bet he’ll hit up with some huge win next time he enters the octagon, the guys X~plosive as hell.
I agree Griffin always comes back from his losses and set-backs. At least he does’nt got some injury, and I’ll even bet next time he sets foot in the octagon he’ll hit some huge win.
this guy aint no sissy that’s for sure. i had similar problem and my knee swelled twice it’s size and i couldn’t hardly walk on it, let alone roll around on the matt.
let’s hope that’s true, assasin, it would suck if forest left the ufc.
The bacteria that causes stahp is actually a common one that many people carry on their skin or in their noses. It needs an open wound and can cause minor skin problems like pimples but can also cause fatal illness like TSS and septicemia. (It’s been a while since I last took a bio course, so you may want to double check that.)
So, for all you people that think Forrest has a minor case, thank God he does. Above all, that man has heart and he wouldn’t bail on a fight for no reason.
thats pretty gross, and yes he look likes dog shit..better he got out….maybe we can see him fight machida down the road. Id also like to see him fight Rashad and redeem his loss to jardine. untill then i hope he gets better, the dude works too hard to be sidelined
Does anyone know if a staph infection is simular to “Scabies”, (not sure on the spelling there). I am currently unable to view the videos to see for myself.
no not really…scabies is more like shingles or mat herpes…staph looks like a huge puss filled zit, that causes more damage internally….like what forrest has..thee footage is of him getting it drained…infected blood and pus..pretty sick
LMAO, Is it just me or was that the real “diesel” posting on this website and if it is thats pretty sweet. So when was this footage taken was it recently? there doesnt seem to be much more info.
