I have no idea if this was mentioned above but Franklin calling out Silva is funny because Silva stills needs to get past Nathan Marquart which who I honestly believe to be the best Middleweight in the UFC...Franklin will fight Silva again but it won't be for the title because Marquart will have the belt tight around his waist....

The images from the Couture vs Silvia are going to be burned in my mind forever. I am still in shock from seeing Silvia hit the floor in round one!

I watched, and it was alright... Worth the money? Not so sure, but I guess the UFC is gotta eat.

I think about 80% of the matchups don't make sense, but some of them end up being memorable. I would be interested to see someone crunch the numbers to see how many good fights come outta bad matchups. I'm guessing Dana White has someone on that, and that's why we get what we get.

So, the individual matches.

Hughes vs Lytle - pretty boring match, I think Matt commanded the action, but took a pretty conservative approach. Every time he took at risk, he had like 7 seconds left in the round. Let's see what he can do against someone with a record and championship aspirations. How about Diego? Don't thank Jesus for that Matt, someone else might be backin Diego.

Franklin vs McDonald - nice match, Rich dominated standup and the ground games and Jason quit before he got demolished. I think Rich will get one more match (How about Evans or Jardine?), and with another win a shot at the championship, which Silva may still be sitting on.

Silvia vs Couture - WOW. I was hoping for a good match, Randy is amazing but I really was stunned. That was a clinic, Dana must have sighed with relief after that. He's gonna look like a genius now... How about CroCop? I'm backing Couture.

If I'm going to continue to watch these events there has got to be more matches. I don't even care if it's unknowns, maybe these guys can make a few clams extra. UFC fighters gotta eat!

Been reading for a while, finally felt like posting something.

black english, check my name MoreThanUFC. Do you really think Crocop has to "prove" himself anymore by crushing the old UFC HW division? I'm glad you agree with me that Couture never should have gotten a shot, other than for PPV sales.

mrb46, man this is old news. Tim Sylvia crapped himself during a live PPV about, what, 2 yrs ago. Nice brown stain on his undies for all to see. I mean it's not uncommon for fighters to wear a sort of Depends into the ring, especially when facing a tough BJJ guy who may choke you out, and poop you out, but Timmy just plain shit himself.
