The UFC loves to have the fighters talk junk to hype up a fight, especially if the fight is a weak match up this is one fight that I think will actually live up to the hype. I can’t wait to see it.

Koz has had a serious case of Diego envy his whole career. Ever since Diego lumped up his face on TUF 1. Then Diego goes on and still hasnt lost even though he faced some top guys (Diaz, Riggs, and Karo) and Koz managed to talk his way into a rematch even though he has never looked that great (all i remember is the Fickett loss). The hate is legit between these guys, but i think Diego is 10 times the better athlete and fighter than Koz. I could be wrong or maybe not, but after Watching Diego dismantle Diaz, Karo, and Riggs its obvious he has faced the better competition and looked better while doing it. Koz can wrestle, but Diego can out strike him and has just as good of wrestling skills along with a much quicker style. I got Diego in TKO rd 2.

If Koscheck beats Sanchez it kinda means Kos isn’t a pussy… Sanchez and Koscheck are both very tough guys, ad this will be a great fight. I am calling Sanchez by decision.

Diego has been a champion of KOTC, lasted about 6 mins against Marcelo Garcia in ADCC ( a serious accomplishment ), beat class opponents, done denistry work for Karo, and mowed my lawn once. Kos has eaten Drew Fickett’s knee, talked a lot of shit, and proved nothing yet in his career.
Diego has everything to lose and nothing to gain, while Kos has nothing to lose at all in this fight. So why would Diego take it? Just to shut this dude up. Watch the bettor line on this one and hope all the TUF crowd bet their boy Kos, you could get REAL good odds.

I have to agree that Diego stands a much better chance in this fight. He has definitely fought against a much higher caliber of opponent than Kos. It pains me to admit this, because I can’t stand the Jesus thanking that Diego does. He might as well thank Ghandi while he’s at it.

Kos doesnt have the cardio Diego has. Diego has a wicked roll as well so it will be hard for Kos to lay on him all day. I think It will go all the way but Kos is going to have one fucked up looking face at the end of the fight. Infact I see a three round ass beating for Kos. It is going to be pretty embarassing.

Everyone who says Diego has not faced anyone doesnt understand how big that Karo Parisian match was. Karo is probably in the top 5 welterweights in the world. No one thought diego could pull it off even after he went and trained with fedor for the fight but he did and he won my respect doing so.

Diego also comes out to fight. If you can name a fight where diego did not come out to do battle, than I will understand what all the hate is about, but the way is see it he won all his fights by going out to fight and not running or laying on people.

Diego Sanchez is a terrible fighter. First off he punches like a little girl. Secondly all he does is go for takedowns that are mostly blocked anyway. If you don’t believe me watch the UFC 60 fight between him and John Allesio. I know what you’re thinking. Who is John Allessio? Well Allesio is also a n awful fighter who didn’t even try to fight in the match. All he did was throw jabs, but he did block EVERY takedown that Diego attempted. That would mean about 32 attempted takedowns that failed in a matter of 15 minutes. And when the last 3 minutes of the final round came up, Allesio tried for a flying knee which barely grazed Diego’s head. Then Diego tripped him up and climbed on his back like a little monkey for the remainder of the fight. Then he was attempting to submit him, which failed miserably. After approximately one minute, Diego punched Allesio in the back of the head about five times, and that’s ILLEGAL, but of course he doesn’t get any points taken off. And when he was hitting him, it sounded and looked like he was dry humping him. Even though Diego had a gash above his eye, he still won. I was actually debating whether I should ever watch UFC again after that moment.

If you read all these comments you can tell that people either love Diego or hate him. I’m a Diego fan, I believe he is going to win because, He has the more rounded skills. Kos is an out of this world wresteler, I would say better than Matt Hughes. But unfortunately, that’s not all it takes. Sure he’s learned to throw a couple of punches. I believe it will be a very similar fight to the first one with the same winner. Diego has crazy flexibily, has improved his stand up a lot, and has the desire to get that belt. Sure he does not have the best social skills, but let’s remember he is a fighter, not a politician.

That was very brutally honest news there kyle. I unfortunately had to witness that fight and let me tell you I was not intrigued one bit. If allesio actually threw punches with at least mediocre force he would’ve pounded him. But of course with allesio being the wussy that he is didn’t even attempt to accomplish anything. The only reason diego won was because of his aggressiveness that is similarily associated with a lemur. Let us also remember that diego only joined the ufc to roll around the mat with other guys. I mean let’s be honest here. It’s not like he can actually brawl. And he is a former wrestler so the reason he didn’t join the WWE is because most of those matches don’t last as long because they’re set up. So the UFC was a great opportunity because he can try to take them down whenever he wants to and have his way with them.

I think the diego/koscheck fight will be close I would give the odds 55% diego to 45% koscheck. Koscheck has much better wrestling skills than diego but diego has better striking and submissions than koscheck. For some reason I can’t see koscheck finishing diego and if he wins it will be a decision but I could see diego submitting koscheck. To be honest even though I give diego slightly better odds at winning this fight, I see koscheck having a better chance with gsp than diego, no way in hell will diego get gsp down and no way he could stand with gsp. I think koscheck would have a better chance than hughes at getting gsp down and gsp isn’t so great on his back. I doubt he could hold gsp down for very long though, I would actually prefer to see hughes vs sanchez and koscheck vs gsp rather than the hughes/gsp rematch.

All the guys I mentioned are the best in one category, sanchez I feel is the most aggressive welter weight, hughes the strongest, koscheck the best wrestler and gsp being the best striker and even though I didn’t mention him penn I feel has the best submissions and is the best on his back. I feel penn and gsp are the most talented and would like to see a rematch with these guys.

“Diego is a terrible fighter” did you not watch the Karo or Nick Diaz fights. I must be missing something, what is the big dislike of Diego. He gives it 110% in his fights, he’s a pretty humble guy compared to a lot of guys like say Koschek or Riggs. As said by someone above, he always comes to fight and to take peoples heads off, but that doesn’t seem to be enough for some. Granted he might be a bit wacky outside the ring, but when the fighting starts he doesn’t f’ck around. I didn’t like Koschek from the show, but there is no denying his talent. He is loud arrogant and cocky without having fought anyone. He doesn’t deserve the shot at Diego, he’s been given a shortcut to the top. I hope Diego knocks him out, he’s taken no shortcuts and deserves his title shot.

uhh he won those because of decisions ade. you’re missing a lot. first of all he’s not humble. second of all if he came into fight to take people’s heads off he would learn how to punch. third of all he’s not wacky outside of the ring he’s cocky. and fourth of all the reason why he’s fighting koscheck is because he won 3 recent battles from decision and you know fans don’t like that as well as dana white.

A victory over class opposition is still a good victory. Even the champions have had a few of those. I can feel some serious hate here for Diego, and it seems like no matter what he did, the hate would still be there.
My issue with Koschek is the fact that he’s getting this shot without having fought the same calibre of fighters, which could lead to him being a title contender. At the very least he should have been fighting Karo before he fought Diego. If that was the case, and he won that fight, then I would not have any problem with him fighting Diego or any of the other top guys after that.

Good points ade I mostly agree with you, but I think one of the main reasons there fighting is koscheck has been begging for a rematch for over a year. I think sanchez mainly has done so well because he has top cardio and is relentless. Also he has a good wrestling base and has man handled most of his past apponents something thats not going to happen in the koscheck rematch. If they were saving him for a title shot he still needs to fight someone between now and then, his last fight was in december and even if they gave him gsp it wouldn’t be until june. I think the winner of this fight should fight hughes and then get a tile shot, to prove they are the number one contender. I agree with you than diego has fought better fighters than koscheck has ( karo and riggs ) but would you not agree this would be one hell of a fight and probably the best on the card?

Without doubt it should be one hell of a fight. On paper it should be one of the best fights on the year, and I really am looking forward to seeing it. It’s just looking at the work that Diego and Karo have put in to get to where there at and then watching Koschek cut corners that annoys me. I’m not disputing his talent or his skills.

I knew Kos would win. He finished most of his fights and only lost a match that he dominated.

Sanchez has one impressive UFC win – against Parisian – and that was a decision. His match against Diaz was kind of a joke. Yeah he got take downs (and punched the floor a bunch of times), but the most damage was done by Diaz’s upkicks. Sanchez outweighed Florian (mismatch) and his win against Alessio wasn’t close to being a noteworthy win considering everyone thought Alessio won. The win against Riggs looked like luck against a fighter who rarely performs to his abilities.

Kos is a way better wrestler than Sanchez and proved to be a better striker. Sanchez definitely belongs in the UFC but he’s not the level of athelete that Kos is. Plus he’s kind of weird – but of course, he’s an outstanding fighter who will be back in the mix soon.
