Will, the statement ” I’ll knock jason out in the first round” was taken out of context he really said ” In a perfect world I would knock jason out in the first round” ( thanks to ufc editing, trying to get some negative energy for the fight ) franklin is not cocky at all. Macdonald I feel is a joke and was lucky in his last two fights, I still would say he has pretty solid submission skills.
Macdonald has no heart at all but talks big, like gsp said the more trash you talk before a fight the dumber you look when you lose and macdonald looked like an ass.

No, MacDonald, Rich doesnt have knockout power. He just makes ppl quit. I was on your bandwagon, watched every fight of yours I could find, talked with some folks about what has come over you lately to improve your game, thought you had the mental toughness to make it in the big leagues… go back to RITJ fights because you aint it. Did you see McFed sleep like a man? Walk out in Rd 3 and let Rich KO you. We woulda said hey, he beat two good fighters and got KOd by the 4th best 185er in the world. So what, great fight and great effort, but a verbal sub in the corner is about as week as it gets.

yeah i think youre right, through the power of technology they put Jmacs head on Sherks body..unless it was tim sylvia doing the interview..i couldnt really tell, although his neck was looking pretty thick, but im pretty sure that the Rich shiner is permanant..always the same eyes, and hi nose was looking pretty small, i wonder if they had to actually take some bone out of it…i am one of those pussys who thinks it is possible to overtain, i know rich goes at it hard becuase he doenst like losing, i just hope its not counterproductive

I just watched the UFC interview with RF and JM.
Rich has another HUGE shiner under his right eye, just like before the Silva fight.
This may not mean anything, but the camera angle on RF made him look big and real tall, yet the interviewer for JM musta been Poopie because it made JM look like he was the size of Sean Sherk. BTW, JM is 1.5 inches taller than Rich.

And Dude, JM looks like he’s put on some serious muscle. Could just be the camera, but check out the interview to see what I mean.

the thing about jmac is he is really skinny, really skinny guys can choke better and submit better and tighter than your usual UFC fighter, so thats a different task than Rich has faced in the UFC, but i still dont see this going to the ground, Evan Tanner, who is a wrestler/submission guy couldnt get rich down to work it, i dont think Jmac will either, he is gonna have to use his hands, Rich by tko, early in the fight

Mac cant really think he can stand way Franklin. He got out struck by leben and he fights like a drunk. If i was him i wouldn’t be cocky going into this fight as Franklin is no joke.

To end the Rich Franklin “I will knock Mac out in the first round” stuff, the interviewer asked him what his best case scenario was and what besides losing would be the worst case scenario. The best case scenario answer was (paraphrasing here) “I will knock him out in the first round.” Ace wasnt trying to be cocky at all. That’s every fighters best case scenario.
He also said verbatum, “I’m just going to go out there, throw some punches and see what happens, I’m ready to fight.”

Mac by gogoplata in the second. Just kidding.
Mac by crossed armbar in the second. Ace, I believe, has lost it.

I said it before and I will say it again. MacDonald left himself open to get knocked out a few times against Leben. Franklin, unlike Leben, is not a sloppy fighter. He will definitely get caught and it will lose him this fight.
