holy self righteous mdjd you are as arrogant as you are assuming. Your ASSUMING all tims customs and tim himself are only hunting for sport - (flawed logic) they COULD be hunting for sport and the meat or only meat. I never said tim was hunting for survival and I think he probably is a tool. I personally don’t agree with sport hunting myself but feel irritated with people who feel its wrong to hunt for food rather than going to the super market ( my point not the survival issue ). I personally know people who like bear meat and when cooked properly is very good( marinated right ). I enjoy hunting myself and the joy of killing something is the last reason I hunt. I love being out in nature and taking part in something my ancestors have done for thousands of years. Don’t tell me why people hunt, they do it for a lot of different reasons. I agree with you that the joy of killing something is a bad reason and I went off topic there and was merely talking about hunting in general and my beef with those who think all hunting is morally wrong. No I’m not hunting for survival when I go deer hunting, I could go to the the store but I like doing it the natural way and learning survival skills as I do it. Hunting is also much more environmentally friendly than buying a steak at your local supermarket, ask david suzuki if you don’t believe me. Mdjd nature is cruel if you don’t realize that I don’t know what world your living in, probably a closet. If you don’t kill animals, good for you, thats your choice, thats good you care about them but I feel you are missing the big picture. I think most vegatarians are closet idealists and are missing the big picture. Thinning out over populated species and buying tags greatly helps wildlife conservation.

So many errors in your logic!
(1) You state that “some people eat black bear…” We are not talking about “some people”, we are talking about Tim Sylvia, the (then) UFC heavyweight champion. He is then and now an ambassador of the UFC.
(2) Is Tim hunting “for survival”? I doubt it. That he is making teaching DVDs of black bear hunting suggests a business motive.
(3) No one argued that hunting for survival is morally wrong. What is morally wrong is killing for sport - just for the “joy” of killing. This is a uniquely human behavior. Also,you changed the scope of the discussion - you stated that “all living organisms consume other organisms to survive…” Again, this is not at issue. Tim is not hunting for survival - he is hunting for sport and to make money, not to eat black bear meat.
(3) your flawed logic is inadequately compensated by your name calling and juvenile rhetoric.

Tim Silvia is a fucking poser and although he has some ground skills, his freakish reach, height and flab are the only thing behind his striking. I think the UFC should be embarrassed that he was ever HW champ.

Both Arlovski fights were flukes. When Tim fights, he looks like a scared poser, afraid to commit, push the pace and he only fights to ‘not lose’ his belt. He’s never looked like someone who LOVES to fight and COMPETE. When he gets into close exchanges, he looks like he’s in a scared, jerky panic. The ’scared Tim theory’ is all proven by the fact that he shit his pants fighting Assuerio Silva and that’s just when he admitted shitting his pants. I’m sure he shits every fight.

As far as his caveman, neanderthalic, dumb fucking redneck “hunting” activity. What a jack-ass. No one but 3 bingo playing, line dancing, bud drinking fat chicks will pay for his ridiculous hunting trip.

I wasn’t going to order UFC 68 until I heard Tim, Rich and Matt got beat. WHen I heard Rich and Matt won, I’d written off this UFC card until I heard how bad poser boy was getting a beatdown.
