ufc 68 fights
Two lightweight match ups complete the UFC 68: “The Uprising” card, which is scheduled for March 3 in Columbus, Ohio, according to UFC.com.

Gleison Tibau will take on Jason Dent, and Jamie Varner will clash with newcomer Jason Gilliam in two 155 showdowns that will most likely never make the pay-per-view (PPV) broadcast.

That’s because the the top-half of this card is loaded with marquee names, including Tim Sylvia, Randy Couture, Matt Hughes, Rich Franklin, Renato “Babalu” Sobral and Jon Fitch, among others.

Here’s the official card:

Hvywt.: Tim Sylvia (23-2) vs. Randy Couture (14-8)
170 lb.: Matt Hughes (40-5) vs. Chris Lytle (22-13-5)
185 lb.: Rich Franklin (20-2) vs. Jason MacDonald (18-7)
205 lb.: Renato “Babalu” Sobral (27-6) vs. Jason Lambert (22-6)
170 lb.: Jon Fitch (12-2) vs. Luigi Fioravanti (10-1)
185 lb.: Martin Kampmann (14-2) vs. Drew McFedries (5-1)
205 lb.: Matt Hamill (2-0) vs. Rex Holman (4-1)
155 lb.: Gleison Tibau (11-4) vs. Jason Dent (12-7)
155 lb.: Jamie Varner (11-2) vs. Jason Gilliam (9-0)

Reports indicate that tickets for the first-ever UFC event in the Buckeye State are sold out. However, that doesn’t mean you still can’t purchase seats.

Better than UFC 67, anyway …

UFC68 is going to be a great show. Especially if Lytle steps up - without fear - and gives Hughes a great fight.

Tim’s a dud when it comes to fighting, he should fight to win instead of fighting not to lose…Come on Tim!!!!!!!!!!!!!…..Let’s see some spunk…

I have Dent over Tibau in a 3 rd decision, if noone has seen his last fight against huerta, they can see it on UFC on demand. Dent has amazing cardio, and wins over some big opponents. He looked good against Huerta, and took that fight on like 5 days notice or something along them lines… If it goes to late rds I think its Dent for sure, from what I have seen of Tibau, he seems to gas in later rds, and on top of that, I heard he came in 15 pounds heavy two days before the weigh-ins. Dropping from 170 as it is, and coming in that heavy before the fight, I think Dent has the advantage.
