Terry Martin fractured the nose and jaw of Jorge Rivera during their middleweight fight at UFC 67 on February 3, according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 4 contestant will not be permitted to fight again until August 2007, unless he is cleared by an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) physician. At the very least, he is on the shelf until May.

Rivera was not the only fighter to leave the Octagon unscathed that night.

Here are are the rest of the walking wounded:

  • John Halverson is suspended until March 6, no contact until February 25  (That’s it! I say lifetime suspension after that performance)
  • Eddie Sanchez is suspended until March 21, no contact until March 6
  • Marvin Eastman is suspended until March 21, no contact until March 6 (lower lip laceration)
  • Tyson Griffin needs a “repeat retinal ophthalmologic exam with a retinal specialist every six months due July 7″

I’m not sure what the Griffin eye injury is all about, but there is no mention of a suspension. After what Griffin did to Frank Edgar’s knee, I’m surprised to see that his name didn’t show up on this report, too.

The rest of the fighters on the card received clean bills of health.

In case your short-term memory is shot, they are:

Anderson Silva, Travis Lutter, Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Roger Huerta, Patrick Cote, Scott Smith, Terry Martin, Frank Edgar, Ryoto Machida, Sam Hoger, Dustin Hazelett and Diego Saraiva.

I can’t believe Martin broke Rivera’s face. He looked OK I thought afterwards besides being punch drunk.

Oh and the most overrated fighters in the UFC right now is Jens Pulver, Jason Macdonald and Jake O’Brien. Fans want to see these gi=uys top five in their divisions — not even close.

the most over rated fighter in the UFC is Mike Swick and I would love to see Martin break his face that would be a great fight.Does anybody know the beef they have between them
