Two weeks ago, we pointed out the Mike Swick preferred to fight Yushin Okami in front of a hometown crowd in Houston, Texas, on April 7 at UFC 69 rather than at UFC 68 on March 3 in Columbus, Ohio.

We also mentioned that with big draws such as Matt Hughes, Rich Franklin, Randy Couture, Tim Sylvia, Renato “Babalu” Sobral and Jon Fitch already on the card, the UFC could afford to honor “Quick’s” request.

Well, according to MMAWeekly.com and UFCJunkie.com, it looks like the UFC brass granted the middleweight’s wish.

Recent reports indicate that the bout has indeed been moved, joining Georges St. Pierre vs. Matt Serra and Diego Sanchez vs. Josh Koscheck as the marquee bouts for the event.

This leaves the UFC 68 eight card with only eight fights — one shy of the typical nine-fight card. More important, it opens up a space to showcase the Jon Fitch-Luigi Fioravanti welterweight showdown on pay-per-view.
