Liddell-Ortiz UFC 66 Weigh in photos

It’s official: Tito Ortiz has an enormous noggin.

We knew it was big — structurally and egotistically — but the photos from the weigh in today in Las Vegas clearly show the huge target at which Chuck Liddell will be slinging haymakers tomorrow night at UFC 66.

As for the champ, humping wheelbarrows — and Willa Ford — loaded with rocks up a mountain appear to have done little to burn off his trademark kangaroo pouch.

Finally, the staredown tonight looks to be just as awkward as it was yesterday when Ortiz gave Liddell a few Eskimo kisses:

Maybe the “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” is just a close talker.

At any rate, I just finished watching UFC Live and Inside, which was a fast 30 minutes of UFC 66 official weigh in coverage.

The boo-birds were in full force, jeering the champ and going wild for Ortiz at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. It didn’t seem to phase “The Iceman,” however.

Does anything?

Aside from his head, Ortiz looked big. And not just in shape, but tall. He towered over Joe Rogan and had what looked like (from my green couch) at least two inches on Liddell.

According to the stats, both fighters are 6′2″ tall.

Perhaps it was the cameras, angles, or Tito’s oversized melon. Either way, it’s probably not that big a deal — just an observation.

Here’s how the the fighters tipped the scales:

Chuck Liddell (205) vs. Tito Ortiz (205)
Forrest Griffin (205) vs. Keith Jardine (205)
Andrei Arlovski (236) vs. Marcio Cruz (236)
Chris Leben (186) vs. Jason Macdonald (184)
Michael Bisping (205) vs. Eric Schafer (205)
Thiago Alves (170) vs. Tony Desouza (171)
Gabriel Gonzaga (244) vs. Carmelo Marrero (220)
Rory Singer (185) vs. Yushin Okami (184)
Christian Wellisch (235) vs. Anthony Perosh (236)
