Do you weigh about 155 pounds and know how to kick ass?

If so, you might want to take a trip to Hollywood, Florida, for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) casting call on December 1 at 9 a.m.

The next season of the popular reality series will feature mixed martial artists in the lightweight division. Former UFC Lightweight Champion, Jens Pulver, and former UFC Welterweight Champion, BJ Penn, are the rumored coaches.

If you can’t make it to the casting call this Friday at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, download the application right here.

FYI: UFC President Dana White, SpikeTV Senior Vice President of Sports and Specials, Brian Diamond, and executive producer Craig Piligian will oversee the tryouts.

Good luck!

I just wanted to know if you have to have fighting experience to tryout? What is involved in the tryouts?

We weren’t able to get out to Hollywood today, so we don’t have a firsthand account of the drills the fighters are put through.

However, it most likely comprises a mix of sparring, grappling and cardio tests, as well as an intense interview.

The exposure of TUF has made it much more difficult to make the show, that’s for sure. Especially, when you consider the first season some of the guys like Koscheck admit that they didn’t know the first thing about mixed martial arts.

Rest assured, that the talent pool gets deeper with each passing season and the panel of judges are scrutinizing the candidates that much more.

If we get any reports on actually what went down today at the tryouts, we’ll post it.

Check back often.
