UFC.com today announced the ninth and final bout for its championship extravaganza (what a great word) on November 18.
Surprisingly, it’s another heavyweight showdown — the fourth on the card that evening — between Jake O’Brien (8-0) and Josh Shockman (7-0).
Great, Josh and Jake. That sounds to us like a whole lotta slow action leading up to the Sylvia-Monson and Hughes-St. Pierre title matches.
Anywho, here is the official lineup for UFC 65: “Bad Intentions” at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California:
170 lb: Matt Hughes vs. Georges St. Pierre
Hvywt: Tim Sylvia vs. Jeff Monson
Hvywt: Frank Mir vs. Brandon Vera
170 lb: Nick Diaz vs. Graison Tibau
155 lb: Joe Stevenson vs. Dokonjonosuke Mishima
205 lb.: James Irvin vs. Hector Ramirez
205 lb: Alessio Sakara vs. Wilson Gouveia
Hvywt: Brad Imes vs. Antoni Hardonk
Hvywt: Jake O’Brien vs. Josh Shockman
Also, dont forget to check out the official UFC 65: “Bad Intentions” microsite. It’s got some really good pre fight interviews and background information on the fighters. Definitely a lot of nostalgic action and highlights.
Very well done.
