Anderson SilvaLook out Rich Franklin … Anderson Silva is a beast.

The Brazilian destroyed middleweight tough guy Chris Leben last night in 49 seconds of the first round during the main event of Ultimate Fight Night on SpikeTV.

It wasn’t even close.

Rashad Evans was also impressive, outperforming the experienced and accomplished Stephan Bonnar in a light heavyweight bout.

Here’s a quote from Evans in the Northwest Indiana News following the bout:

I was surprised I was able to control the pace of the match the way I did. I believe that after the first minute or so, I was able to get his timing down. I was able to shoot, and that’s what I was looking for.

The victory puts Evans one step closer to squaring off with champion Chuck Liddell, and Stephan Bonnar further away from even a rematch with Forrest Griffin.

Here are the quick final results of the event:

–Anderson Silva def. Chris Leben via TKO (strikes)
–Rashad Evans def. Stephan Bonnar via majority decision
–Mark Hominick def. Jorge Gurgel via unanimous decision
–Jonathan Goulet def. Luke Cummo via majority decision
–Jon Fitch def. Thiago Alves via TKO (strikes)
–Josh Koscheck def. Dave Menne via unanimous decision
–Rob MacDonald def. Kristian Rothaermel via submission (armbar)
–Jorge Santiago def. Justin Levens via TKO (strikes)
–Jason Lambert def. Branden Lee Hinkle via TKO (referee stoppage)
